Diversion Product Update: July Highlights (07/24)
Dear Diversion community,
We're excited to share some product updates from the past month on the latest additions to Diversion!
Creating Branch from a Commit
You can now create a branch directly from any specific commit in your commit history page. This feature is ideal for generating new branches from older, stable, or verified versions of your code. While automatic checkout to the newly created branch will be available soon, you can currently perform this step manually. Don't worry - it's just a temporary workout for your click finger!
Resizable Panes in All Views
The tree view, commits view, and other views are now resizable to suit all screen sizes. Your preferences and choices will be saved between sessions.
Open File or Folder in Explorer
You can now open a specific file directly in your explorer from the context menu in the workspace tree view.
Switch branch when creating a new one
Previously, creating a new branch kept you on the existing one. Now, by simply selecting a checkbox, you can switch to the new branch in the same step - saving you time.
Open a Support Ticket from the App
There is no need to open the terminal anymore to send us tickets. Just click the question mark on the top right, describe the problem, and it will send us the logs for further investigation! We're here to catch bugs, not your time :)
Pause + Resume Mechanism
You can now pause your local workspace sync and resume it when you want. This can be helpful when making many changes in very large files on a slow network connection. For other scenarios, we recommend allowing the auto-sync to operate smoothly in the background. Click here to learn more about it.
Unreal Engine plugin updates:
- Conflicts warning icon
Say goodbye to unexpected conflicts with our new warning icon. If a file is being edited by someone else or updated on a different branch, you'll see an icon alerting you to potential issues before they arise. Plus, it works across branches - keeping you in the loop and conflict-free.
- Resolved issues with locked files
This update resolves issues with locked files and stuck syncs. It now allows different users to collaborate on the same branch, overcoming previous UE limitations that affected automatic sync. Don't miss out - update now for a smoother experience.
- Now on Mac
The UE Diversion plugin is now available for Mac users. Invite your Mac-using friends to join in and start collaborating effortlessly together!
Still not using our Unreal Engine plugin? Download it now - and thank us later!
